The philosophy of Poiesis and its application to the arts is a fundamental part of the Create and Present state standards of art foundations learning outcomes. When planning an art lesson, careful considerations are taken for what a final project that students will be able to produce and present. It is stated by Martin Heidegger that the human experience itself is phenomenal, as well as “...art is understood as a mode of "showing "or “manifesting” (Heidegger,2001). An arts inspired learning environment is an incubus for processes of poiesis to stimulate and generate student education. Ultimately with a combination of learning art academic language and developing skills from tools practice, students can create artworks to be presented physically, verbally, and literarily.
